Cresswind Lake Harris Community Development District
The Cresswind Lake Harris Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes, as amended, and established on September 21, 2022 by the City Council of the City of Tavares, Lake County, Florida Ordinance No. 2022-15, as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The land within the District, located entirely within the city consists of 166.81acres located west of Lane Park Road, south of Lake Harris, and north of Peninsula Drive entirely within the City of Tavares, Florida.

The Cresswind Lake Harris Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes, as amended, and established on September 21, 2022 by the City Council of the City of Tavares, Lake County, Florida Ordinance No. 2022-15, as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The District shall have all powers and functions granted by the Act pursuant to sections 190.011 and 190.012(1), (3) and (4), Florida Statutes, as amended from time to time. In addition, and pursuant to Section 190.012(s)(a) and (d), Florida Statues, consent is hereby given to the District’s Board of Supervisors to finance, fund, plant establish, acquire, construct, reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate, and maintain additional systems and facilities for parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural and educational uses and security, including but not limited to, guardhouses, feces and agates, electronic intrusion-detection systems and patrol cards. Pursuant to Section 190.002(3), Florida Statutes the district shall not have or exercise any zoning or development permitting powers governing land development or the use of land.
